The members of the Eastside Amateur Radio Service would like to thank everyone who attended our event. By coming out and participating you helped make this years hamfest a success. The hams in the picture worked very hard at the event and for several months prior planning. Big shout out to the team from the Eastside Amateur Radio Service for putting together the event.
JT came to the hamfest on Saturday with his dad Wes K5LUL. We are delighted he won the grand prize. JT is almost 12, a Boy Scout and studying for his tech. Along with his dad JT got the radio on the air Sunday afternoon. He is very happy he won and is even more motivated to get licensed. We hope to hear JT checking into one of our weekly nets very soon!

DownloadThe second annual Baytown Hamfest is a wrap! The support from the ham radio community was amazing. The Eastside Amateur Service Radio Club really stepped up to the plate to promote Amateur radio and our great hobby as a whole. So much work goes into making an event like this happen but most of the credit goes to the fine folks that showed up. All of us in the EARS club sincerely thank you. Hope to see you next year!!
