Our Repeaters and Nets

Our Repeaters

The 145.310 VHF repeater and 444.975 repeaters were upgraded to Yaesu Fusion DR2X in 2020. The 145.310 machine is currently set for analog operation for traditional VHF operations. Our 444.975 machine operates in full auto mode and is primarily used by stations with Yaesu Fusion radios.

Our Weekly Nets

If you are interesting in acting as net control station for the Tuesday net please contact David NE5TX.

We have a weekly Tuesday night net on 145.310 VHF repeater.  PL Tone is 167.9 and -.60 offset.  This net meets at 7PM

Script for the Tuesday Night net

Please use this script if you are calling the net

QST, QST, QST,  This is ___________ and tonight I will be the NET control station for the Tuesday Eastside Amateur Radio Service net.

This net meets each Tuesday at 7pm on 145.310 repeater located in Baytown Texas with a PL Tone of 167.9.

The purpose of this net is to discuss topics related to Amateur Radio and to disseminate information to amateur radio operators in Baytown and the surrounding communities.

This is a directed net please direct all communications through net control.

All licensed amateur radio operators are invited to participate in this net – in fact we encourage all amateurs listening to please check in.

The discussion topic for tonight’s net be:    (select your own topic)

Before we begin taking check-ins is there any emergency, priority, or time sensitive traffic,   if so come now.

If Nothing heard proceed with preamble –When checking  in please say, this is, unkey to prevent doubles then slowly give your call sign, name, location and if you have any traffic for the net....also let net control know if you will be able to stay or if you are check in only.

In the last portion of the net I will ask if anyone has anything they are looking to buy or sell.

Net will now take check-ins from mobile and low power stations and I will do my best to move short timers and mobile stations to the top of the list.   All mobile and portable stations please come now

I will now take stations with call sign suffixes

Alpha thru fox

Golf thru Lima

Mike thru Tango

Uniform thru Zulu

(Take the opportunity to take late check-in and re-rechecks from time to time during the net to give stations listening a chance to check in).

This brings us to the buy sell portion of the net.  Does anyone have anything they wish to buy or sell?

Does anyone need help with an antenna or programming a radio?

This concludes our net.  We had ______ great check-ins.  Thank you to all stations that checked in.  We would also like to thank David NE5TX and Greg N5KND for the use of this repeater.  I will now turn this repeater back to normal amateur radio use.
